Zephyr relaxing and enjoying the company. He just loves people!

Jennifer and Scott opening the presents from the kids- we helped the kids make special tiles for thier parents this year for Christmas! Jen and Scott loved them!

Sage was looking pretty sleepy for awhile- she woke up with allergies and they gave her benadryl which made her very sleepy, quiet and very unlike the Sage we know- but after a bit she perked up a bit.

Doing the Christmas crackers. Cristmas crackers are an Australian tradition- originating from England. Your pull these little crackers with someone sitting near you, that make a popping noise, youm open them up and inside there is a paper hat (pretty funny looking- but judge for yourself!), a plastic toy and then a joke (most of which are usually pretty dumb ones).

James putting the garland up and putting the angel on the tree. The puppies seemed to enjoy being with us as we decorated. It was their first Christmas! They were very curious as to what we were doing and what was going on.

Decorating our tree at our house. It was fun decorating and really got us into the Christmas spirit!

One is of Mum, Heather and Reid decorating the tree at Mum's house. The next photo is Zephyr who lives at Mum's house still. When Marion moved out he stayed to keep Mum company.

Here are some more Christmas pictures as promised.

Here is Marion with the pups a few months ago before they grew a ton. They are no longer this little. Hailey and Cindal now both weigh almost 50pounds. We will add more pics in the next day or two.

Christmas 2008

We had a lovely Christmas this year with both of our families. It was busy, as our holidays always are. We spent Christmas Eve with James' family at his parent's house. We did stockings, opened presents and had a lovely meal with his parents, grnadmother (whom we call Oma- which means Grandma in Dutch) and his siblings. We then headed off to a Christmas Eve service at church and then went back to Jennifer (Marion's best friend) and Scott's house to see them and their kids Bryce and Sage (our godkids) and Jennifer's parents for the evening. We stayed late and eventually got home to bed by about midnight.

Christmas morning we went to Marion's mum's house to open presents there with her and Heather (Marion's sister). Unfortunately Reid (Heather's husband) had to work for the morning- but joined us later in the day. We opened presents there and then Jennifer, Scott, Bryce and Sage, Jennifer's parents and Mum's friend and his son all joined us for a lovely turkey and ham Christmas dinner.

After the guests all left from there we headed to Missy's (Marion's step-sister's) for Christmas festivities with Marion's dad and that side of the family. We did stockings, opened presents and then everyone played Guitar Hero and had lots of fun. We were the first to head home as Marion was worn out and tired after severaly days of being so very busy!

Christmas was a very enjoyable time for us as it usually is- just very very busy. We think next year we may not do quite so much as with a 6 month old, it may be just too much. Maybe some of our family may come to our house- but we'll see how things go.
